Sam Kanner is the CEO and a co-founder of Aikido Technologies, a start-up providing powered, offshore infrastructure to the datacenter and adjacent industries. In this role, he oversees all technical, commercial and business activities within the company. He was a Breakthrough Energy Fellow in the 2022 Cohort. Previously, he was Head of R&D at Principle Power, helping deploy some of the world's first floating wind projects.  Sam holds a PhD and MS from UC Berkeley in Mechanical Engineering / Ocean Engineering and a BA from Carleton College. Aikido technologies is a start-up developing offshore infrastructure for the power and datacenter industries.
